Job Elimination Dream Come True?

Economist Andrew McAfee highlighted that the future of jobs will change because of machines. If we all agree this scenario will happen, what should we do now? People have jobs when the employers demand for certain skills from people. If those skills can be replaced by machines, employers will not hire people. In the extreme case, if most skills can be performed by machines, what work is left for people to do? Wait a minute, but why should people be so passive and left their jobs die eventually? Those smarter ones will not wait for this to happen, instead they will claim back their control and create the jobs that they want to do for themselves.
